How about some vegan scones with a dollop of dairy free cream and jam!? Yup…our mouth is salivating too! Here’s the recipe:




  • 3 cups self raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened plant milk of choice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
For Serving:

  • Made With Plants Thickened Cream
  • Strawberry jam


  • Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  • Start by sifting your flour into a mixing bowl and adding the salt and baking powder. Then add in vegan butter and knead it all together with your hands until you get that crumbly texture.
  • Add the plant milk, sugar, vanilla extract and lemon juice and mix in with a spoon.
  • To alleviate any stickiness from the dough, add more flour as needed and roll it all into a ball before flattening it out with your hands. Use a smooth cutter and dip it in flour and then cut out scones until the mixture is all used up.
  • Once your scones have been placed on a baking paper lined tray, brush the tops with plant milk to give them that golden glow on top.
  • Pop into the oven to bake for 15-20 minutes!
  • Serve with your choice of jam (we went with strawberry) and our delicious Thickened Cream for the most delectable afternoon tea snack!
